Writing and reading update

Great excitement amongst the younger generation to hear that my short story collection - Perfect 10 - is now available from Amazon for download at the Kindle Store at  https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004Q9TWKU  this is especially amusing since I don't own a Kindle (yet) but Louis' partner, Jeanie, has downloaded it and will tell me how it looks - presumably just like the pages of a book !

I have a short piece in the magazine Gutter 04 - my friend, Joanne McKay, has two fine poems -www.guttermag.co.uk/ - so we are well pleased with ourselves and the Glasgow based literary scene. Whilst we're in Glasgow - I have a piece of non-fiction called The Solway Wild in Spilling Ink Review - http://spillinginkreview.com/ which is part of Unbound Press. Next Tuesday I'm off to Wigtown to read at the launch of Singing Over the Bones 2 - an anthology celebrating Wigtown Women - volume 1 was a delight to hold and read so I'm looking forward to that one. Main speaker will be Liz Niven and the event is in the Supper Rooms at the County Buildings.

At the other end of the editing process - Southlight 8 - will be out very soon - sharp writing and some beautiful imagery even if I say so as one of the editors - and will be available from DGArts at The Mid-Steeple, Dumfries. There is to be a launch reading on Wednesday March 23rd at Gracefield Studios with guest readers from The Eildon Tree magazine, based in Selkirk. More details to follow.

Then there is tomorrow at the Ewart Library when Rab Wilson, Giancarlo Rinaldi and I will be reading and giving away books - 48 each ! There's musical entertainment and wine and nibbles so well worth a visit in support of the book and your local library.

Yahoo! Busy!
And I may be sending my proxy on Saturday. Tall-ish with red hair. Not safe around nibbles.
